This
is the ministry that works directly on behalf of children attending our
school. Participation in this ministry is unique because members are
the parents and guardians of children enrolled in the school. School
faculty also are members of this ministry. There is no official
registration, rather membership is a benefit bestowed on the faculty and
on adults whose families attend the school.
The
objective of this association is the advancement of the Catholic education
and welfare of all students. This ministry provides the opportunity
for parents, guardians, and teachers to work together to achieve that
end. It is important that parents and guardians realize this
ministry belongs to all its members. The association meets five
times during the school year to work on attending various objectives.
One
goal of the ministry is to keep our parishioners advised of what the
students are doing because our parish subsidizes the school. The
Home and School Association works to inform parishioners of students'
academic progress, current projects, open house days when everyone is
encouraged to visit our school, and so on.
The
quality of St. Patrick School education and the caliber of its students
are due in part to the work of all who are, or have been, a part of our
Home and School Association. If you would like more information
about this ministry and the role you might play in sharing this
stewardship of time and talent, please call president Carol Timko, at
(302) 234-2035.
