Accreditation
The Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) in collaboration with the
Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) provides joint accreditation for
Catholic schools in California and Hawaii. After an accreditation review, both WASC
and WCEA granted St. Callistus a full term of accreditation for six years, through
June 30, 2010. WASC and WCEA use accreditation to:
- Foster excellence in elementary education.
- Encourage school improvement through a process of continuous self-study and
evaluation.
- Assure the school and its public that the school:
- Has clearly defined and appropriate educational goals and objectives.
- Has established conditions under which their achievement can reasonably be
expected.
