Goals and Objectives of St. Joseph
School
Communication within
the St. Joseph School family is a continuous process involving
the school, the school staff, and the school families. The school community
seeks to attain the following goals and objectives:
1. To create a nurturing Christian environment which promotes
mutual respect, acceptance of differences, and reverence for
life.
2. To provide an education in the beliefs, values and traditions
of the Catholic faith by adhering to the teachings of the Church.
3. To guide each student in reaching his/her God-given potential
while developing a sense of responsibility and self-worth.
4. To help the students share the mission of Jesus Christ by
designing activities which extend beyond the school in compassion
and service to others.
5. To provide a well-balanced curriculum which meets the
developmental needs of the whole child and includes Religion,
Math, Language Arts, Reading, Science and Social Studies, as well
as Music, Art, Foreign Language, and Physical Education.
6. To encourage individual students in areas of weakness,
supporting them with skills and working as partners with their
parents.
7. To respect the individual gifts of faculty, students and families by
planning cooperative activities that utilize the
gifts of all for the common good.
