At Sacred Heart our provision for children includes

The mothers and toddlers group which meets on Wednesdays during term time from 1.30 to 3.30 p.m. Click here for more about them.
CATECHISM CLASSES: For children in school years 1 to 6.
The youngest children follow the "Walk with Me" curriculum in small classes of volunteer catechists in the presbytery and church hall on Saturday mornings from 10.00 - 10.45 a.m.
Children in school year 3 follow a year long preparation for First Holy Communion at the same times on Saturday mornings in the church under the tutelage of Mary Wilcox.
Children who have already made their first communion can continue with catechism classes following he "Walk with Me" curriculum at the same times on Saturdays in the Reith Room.
Children who have made their first communion are encouraged to develop their faith through serving on the altar. Tony Falcon leads the altar servers and can be contacted via email at falcon_tony@btopenworld.com.
Sunday Children's Liturgy at the 10.30 a.m. Mass. Children begin Mass in the body of the church with their families and leave for their own liturgy of the word before returning to the parish community at the offertory to celebrate the Eucharist.
