CONFESSIONS  Saturday:  Exposition, Benediction & Confessions 11:00am to 11:30am

Collection:   Last week’s plate collection came to £504.97.            Thank you.

Traidcraft Stall:   The Traidcraft Stall is in action at the entrance of the church this weekend, with the usual wide range of Fairtrade products.

Confirmation Class:   The first session for the Confirmation candidates takes place on 8th February, 7:15pm to 8:30pm, in the presbytery.

Poverty And Homelessness Action Week (28th January - 5th February):   A speaker will be with us at Mass today who will talk about the work of Leighton Linslade Homelessness Service.  During this period we will be collecting items for Leighton Linslade Homelessness Service.  Items they are particularly short of include: tinned rice pudding, custard and small tins of fruit; tins of meat, smash meat paste; small tins of coffee mate, coffee, tea, sugar, long life milk, small boxes of cereal (variety ones); and washing up liquid and other cleaning products (kitchen cleaner etc.) but any tinned items will be accepted!  There will be a box at the back of Church other the two weekends for your offerings.  Many thanks!

Quiz Night:   3rd March from 7:30pm.  After a bit of a break and back by popular demand another evening of brain boggling, mind mangling fun and questions laid on by the Fund Raising Committee.  This time we're using a new venue, the 1st leighton Scout Group Hall on Grovebury Road.  It's warm and welcoming with fine facilities, plenty of parking at the rear.  Tickets on sale after Mass at £5 per head, form a team or just come and join one: early booking recommended.  Bring your own tipple and treats as usual.

Bishop Visitation:   Bishop Peter Doyle will be making his visitation to Sacred Heart Parish over the weekend of February 25th-26th.  He will be preaching at all the Masses.

Transforming Life:   The Course for this year, organised by Leighton Linslade Churches Together, has the title: "Transforming Life".  There will be six weekly meetings, from the week starting 20th February.  There is a signing list on the notice board, and also information leaflets available.  Refresh your faith, instead of denying yourself something this Lent; why not "give" - a little of your time, to remember why we look on Easter as such an important time of year.

New Church Beauticians Rota:   The new rota for the Church Beauticians is now available in the usual place in the Repository.  It would be good if we could find some extra people to join the rota.  One lady on one of our teams isn't a Catholic and doesn't attend our church, yet she helps.  That's supposed to make you feel guilty!

Joy For All?:   Fr John has a number of copies of "Joy For All?"; a biography of the life and work of Fr Richard Ho Lung, founder of the Missionaries of the Poor, and written by Fr Ken Payne.  Copies are a mere £6.99, all proceeds going to support the work of the Missionaries of the Poor.

My Day By Day:   Copies of the Lent edition of My Day By Day are available at the entrance, price £1.00.  St Martin's Magazine is also available, price 40p.

Catechists' Assembly 2012:   NORES is introducing a catechetical programme for adults this year called "Anchor".  It is a six session programme which aims to present the fundamental truths of the Catholic Faith, and to explain the Mass step by step.  The event is free, and will be held at the new RE Centre in Luton (see the NORES website www.nores.org.uk).  On 25th February, 10:00am to 3:00pm, for more details see the booking forms at th entrance or the poster on the notice board.

ANNIVERSARIES:    Please pray for those whose anniversaries occur at this time.

X Eternal rest give unto them O Lord. May they rest in peace.
