SPUC Appeal:   There will be an appeal next weekend on behalf of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children.

Confirmation 2012:   A course for Confirmation will start in the new year.  Unlike previous years it will extend over much of the year, with meetings about once a month.  The course is for 12 to 16 year olds, School Years 8-11.  There are forms available at the entrance.  Please complete and return to Fr John today!  The first session, for candidates and parents, will be on 16th January, at 7:15pm, although the sessions for the candidates themselves will be held on Wednesdays, starting 8th February.

Silent Auction:   The Silent Auction finishes at midnight tonight i.e. New Year's Eve, so get in those last minute bids by phoning Eugene on LB 379022 or emailing Mike on mikeplummer@rocketmail.com

Saturday Evening Mass Time:   Building work is now due to commence sometime around the beginning of February 2012, with the demolition of the parish hall.  Once contractors move in the church car park will be out of action.  This will present a problem for the Saturday evening Mass-goers who come by car, as the Library Car Park charges up to 6:00pm.  Fr John has therefore decided to move the time of the Mass back 15 minutes to 6:15pm, starting from 31st December.  This will enable car users to park their cars at the Library Car Park, only 4 minutes walk, without having to pay a fee.  Confessions will also move 15 minutes, and will be from 5:30pm to 6:00pm.

New Rotas:   The new rotas are available in the usual place in the Repository for readers and eucharistic ministers.

Contact Magazine:   The Christmas issue of our Contact magazine is available at the entrance of the church.

The Vine:   The January issue of The Vine is also available at the entrance.

Christingle Photos:   If you would like to order any of the Christingle photos, on the board at the back of the church, please fill in the necessary details on the form attached.

Our Lady Of Good Counsel:   The Prayer Group of Our Lady of Good Counsel will meet in church at 11:00am on 7th January for Adoration, Rosary and Novena prayers.  Our patron for January is St Michael the Archangel.

Christian Unity Service:   To mark the beginning of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity there will be a United Service at Trinity Methodist Church on 22nd January, at 4:00pm.  The speaker will be Martin Turner, Superintendent Minister, Methodist Central Hall, Westminster.

"Think Universe":   A talk with demonstrations by Dr Francisco Diego, University College, London, on 26th January, 7:30pm at The Lecture Theatre, St Paul's School, Leadenhall, Milton Keynes.  "...and the Universe begins to ring and resound.  It is no longer human voices.  It is planets and suns revolving in their orbits."  Or something.  Admission is free.  Enquiries: 01908 669735.

Happy New Year:   Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the very generous Christmas Offering, and also for the cards and presents.  Fr John would like to wish you all a very happy and peaceful New Year.

ANNIVERSARIES:    Please pray for those whose anniversaries occur at this time.

X Eternal rest give unto them O Lord. May they rest in peace.
