SPUC Appeal:   Raised £535.83.  Many thanks.

Pax Christi:   The Bishops of England and Wales invite us to make today a day of prayer for world peace.  Working for peace and justice is an essential part of the calling of all Christians, young or old, so we ask the Lord to renew our vision of the Kingdom of God and to purify our witness of that Kingdom.  There will be a second collection today to support the work of Pax Christi, the Catholic charity which campaigns for peace and justice for all.

Keech Cottage:   The donations left at the Crib came to £145.14, which as usual will be sent to Keech Cottage, the Children's Hospice in Luton. Many thanks.

Prayer Group:   The dates for the Prayer Group this year fall mainly on the last Friday of the month: 27th January, 24th February, 30th March, 27th April, 1st June, 29th June (after the evening Mass), 27th July, 28th September, 26th October, and finally 30th November.  The meetings are from 8:00pm to 9:00pm.

Bible Study Group:   The Bible Study Group will be meeting this week on 18th January at 3:30pm in the Presbytery.

Bereavement Group:   The Bereavement Group will be meeting on 25th January at 7:00pm in the Link Room.

Initial Confirmation Meeting:   The first meeting, which is for both candidates and parents, will be 16th january at 7;15pm, initially in the church.

Christingle Photos:   If you would like to order any of the Christingle photos, on the board at the back of the church, please fill in the necessary details on the form attached.

My Day By Day:   Copies of the February issue of My Day By Day are available at the entrance, price £1.00.

Christian Unity Service:   To mark the beginning of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity there will be a United Service at Trinity Methodist Church on 22nd January, at 4:00pm.  The speaker will be Martin Turner, Superintendent Minister, Methodist Central Hall, Westminster.

"Think Universe":   A talk with demonstrations by Dr Francisco Diego, University College, London, on 26th January, 7:30pm at The Lecture Theatre, St Paul's School, Leadenhall, Milton Keynes.  "...and the Universe begins to ring and resound.  It is no longer human voices.  It is planets and suns revolving in their orbits."  Or something.  Admission is free.  Enquiries: 01908 669735.

Musical Event:   Churches Together in Eaton Bray, Edlesborough, Dagnall and Northall are holding an evening of light music with Christian singing duo Light Touch, followed by a buffet supper on 18th January at 7:45pm and extend a warm welcome to anyone who would like to come along.  It is being held at All Saints Church, Dagnall; entrance is free but there will be a collection for the Hospice of St Francis, Berkhamsted.

Office Furniture:   We have been given a selection of Office Furniture from the local branch of Halifax following a refurbishment.  Should any small businesses or individuals require office chairs, occasional tables (no desks), screens etc. it's all available for viewing in the hall in exchange for a donation to the Building Fund.  If you need to make an appointment to view during the week please contact Eugene on 379022.

On The Scrounge:   If you have any unwanted Christmas presents or anything suitable as a raffle prize for future fund raising events, these would be gratefully accepted.  Please hand them in to Eugene or at the Presbytery.
