Collection:   Last week’s plate collection came to £524.47.            Thank you.

April Vine:   There are two articles from Sacred Heart in this month's Vine.

Contact Magazine:   The latest Contact magazine celebrates its 10th anniversary.  Copies are available at the back.

Bereavement Service:   Our annual Bereavement Service will be held on 19th April at 3:00pm.  Although the focus is more on those who have lost loved ones over the last 12 months, anyone who has suffered from a bereavement at any time is very welcome.

Evergreens:   Evergreens are meeting on 14th April at the Litten Tree, Lake Street, at 12:00pm for a 4th birthday lunch.

APF Boxes:   If you are one of those people who use the APF red boxes, could you please bring yours in for counting, sometime over the next few weeks.  Many thanks.

Parish Barbeque:   A date for your diaries: the Parish Barbeque this year will be held on 28th June, starting as usual after the evening Mass.  Tickets on sale soon.

Day For Catechists:   A Day for Catechists is being held at Our Lady of Lourdes, Coffee Hall, Milton Keynes, on 26th April, 10:30am to 3:00pm, led by Canon John Udris, with Mass at 12:00pm, celebrated by Bishop Peter.  Bring a packed lunch, drinks provided.

Jubilee Debt Campaign:   In 1998 70,000 people stood in a human chain around the G8 meeting in Birmingham, urging the G8 to drop the Debt.  In the run up to the 10th anniversary the Jubilee Debt Campaign are planning a fast to highlight 36 countries which still need substantial debt cancellation.  You are being asked to sign up to fast for a day and use the day to focus on a particular country.  The fast starts on 12th April and will run for 5 weeks.  The list of countries and further details are at the back of the church.  More details of other activities we can get involved in will be provided over the next few weeks.

Passion For Life Campaign:   As the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill continues its passage through Parliament, it is important that we continue to communicate our concerns to our MPs.  To this end, postcards will be handed out as you leave church today which you can send to your local MP.  It is important that we make our views known whatever the stance of our MP, so that they are made aware of the strength of feeling surrounding the issue.

Deanery Pilgrimage To Rome:   To mark the Year of St Paul, our Deanery is organising a short pilgrimage to Rome, from 2nd to 5th March 2009.  There are places for up to 36 people, and the cost is £350.  If you are interested, please see Fr John and he will give you an information leaflet (there are only a few).

ANNIVERSARIES:    Please pray for those whose anniversaries occur at this time.

X Eternal rest give unto them O Lord. May they rest in peace.
