Most members of the 'Lamb of God'
take an hour of the Prayer Watch. The Prayer Watch in
the
'Lamb of God' is a 24 hour, 7 day Prayer Watch and the Watch is
passed on to the next
person by phone contact. Each branch or region of the Community takes a particular
section
of the week that their members cover.
PRAYER

AIM OF THE PRAYER WATCH.
To pray against strongholds that can oppress the 'Lamb
of God' Community and hinder us
from experiencing peace and
freedom to do the work that God has raised us for, and called
us
to do. We also lift up the urgent needs of our brothers and
sisters in the Community.
We also pray for God's protection on
our life together.

PRAYER
AT THE BEGINNING OF THE WATCH
Father God, I undertake this watch as a solemn
responsibility on behalf of all my brothers
and sisters in the
Lamb of God Community. I undertake it as fulfilling my commitment
to the Community. I endeavor to be faithful to fulfill the
purpose of the watch and be sensitive to the leadings of the Holy
Spirit. I ask you to keep me alert and mindful and I ask you to
hear our prayer as a community. It is our desire to live our
lives fully under the Lordship, the protection, the provision of
Jesus Christ. This is our primary prayer. We ask you to respond to those prayers which live up to our primary prayer. We want to
live fully, totally and radically for Jesus and to further the
coming of His Kingdom. Guide me on this watch and help me and
each of us to live out the covenant we have made to you and to
each other. Amen.

PRAYER FOR
FAMILIES
Lord Jesus, you experienced the life of family during
your time on earth and know the stresses of family life so I pray
for the families of the Lamb of God as they live out the Covenant
that we share together and especially lift up -------------, who
have a family member in need of support at this time, that you
will strengthen them in living our life and guide them in
supporting those in need.
Amen.

PREGNANCY
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, creator of all life, I pray for those in the Lamb of
God who are pregnant, that you will watch over each mother and protect the new
life she bears and bring each baby safely into the world. Lord I especially lift
up ------- who have complications at this time and pray for your healing upon
them. Lord I also pray for Husbands and Grandparents as they support the Mother
during this time. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

HEALING PRAYER
Almighty God, from whom all blessings flow, I pray for
your healing power to be on the members of the "Lamb of
God" affected by illness or injury. Lord I lift up those
with Cancer especially ----------, also those with Heart
conditions especially --------- . Lord I pray for others with
needs for healing especially --------, that they will know the
power of your love in their lives and the peace that only you can
give. Amen

BEREAVEMENT
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge you as the giver of life
and that you are the one who calls each one of us to eternal
life. We pray for our members who have been affected by the death
of a loved one and we especially lift up ---------- that all will
know the comfort, peace and strength of your love in their lives.
We pray too for those who walk in support that they will always
bring your love in a gentle and understanding way. Amen. |
