Parish Council

The Parish Council is comprised of the parish staff and appointed parishioners. The chairs of the various committees report to the Council on the planned and on-going activities of the groups they represent. The Council serves in an advisory capacity to the Pastor and provides a forum wherin ideas are discussed and projects recommended. The Vatican II Decree on the Apostolate of Lay People (Apostolicam actuositatem, par. 26) published in 1965, recommended the establishment of councils with one purpose, namely, to assist in the Church's "apostolate" or mission.
