Ministries

All liturgical ministries are overseen by the Liturgical/Ecumenical Committee.

Music Ministry

The purpose of the music ministry program is to lead the congregation in prayer through music at the celebration of the Mass during Sunday and special liturgies. Membership in the music ministry is open to all who wish to share their musical talent with our parish community. The program is headed by a parish music coordinator.

Adult Choir

The Adult Choir meets every Wednesday at 7:45 PM in the Church. The choir sings at the 11:30 AM Mass on Sundays from September to June and at special liturgies.

Young Adult Choir

All youth interested in singing at Mass many participate in the Young Adult Choir. You do not need prior musical knowledge or skill to join. Current members ages range from 11 through 22. The choir sings on the 3rd Sunday of each month at the 8:30 AM Mass and rehearse 1-2 weeks prior. Please call the rectory for the next rehearsal date.

Folk Group

The Folk Group provides music for the 10 AM Mass in the Chapel every Sunday. If you enjoy singing, or playing the guitar, the violin, or the flute, please consider joining the ensemble. The group rehearses once a month. For further information, please contact the music coordinator.

Organists and Songleaders

The organists and songleaders serve as ministers for Sunday Masses. If you enjoy singing or playing the keyboard, please consider sharing your talents with our parish. The organists and songleaders meet once a month and training sessions are provided for new members. Organists and songleaders serve as ministers twice a month, or more frequently if desired. Lectors

Lectors assist the congregation in a prayerful and meaningful celebration of the Liturgy of the Word by carefully preparing the Sunday readings and sharing their faith in the Word of God. Training is provided to those who qualify as good readers so they may proclaim the Word of the Lord. It is open to members of the Parish who make the Scriptures a meaningful part of their lives.

Eucharistic Ministers

Special ministers are selected by the pastor to assist the clergy in ministering the Eucharist to the faithful both at the Liturgy and through visits to the sick and homebound. Training sessions are provided and the ministers are mandated by the Bishop for service to this parish. A public commissioning rite is held in the parish for new ministers.

Altar Servers

Servers are used at all liturgical functions. Meetings are held monthly and are announced in the bulletin. Boys or girls must be at least ten years old to be servers. Altar ministers must be eighteen years of age. Availability to serve scheduled Masses and responsible punctuality are required.

Ushers

The ushers greet the parishioners at the doors and assist the congregation in seating, collecting the offerings, coordinating the presentation of gifts, assisting at Communion time, and distributing the bulletins. Ushers are coordinated by the Holy Name Society.

Divine Mercy Health & Wellness Ministry

Nurses & ministers of mercy are available to assist parishioners in many ways.
