Trees, Roads and Amenities

The trees, roads and amenities are aspects which contribute to the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere and surroundings at Ta Pinu Marian Centre, Bacchus Marsh. Work on the roads commenced instantaneously with the purchase of the land at Marian Centre, on the 26th February 1994. A total of 500 metres of road was dug up and laid with crush rock from the main gate up to the chapel. Two car parks were also made in the vicinity of the front gate. Another road of 800 metres in length was dug up for the Stations of the Cross. In addition, another road of 500 metres in length was also dup up, more recently, for the Mysteries of the Rosary,

This 100 acre property also boasts approximately 2400 trees and shrubs. In April 1994, devotees of Our Lady had the opportunity to pay $4.00 and have a small shrub planted in their name. On special occasions, such as a visit by Mr Anton Tabone, the Minister for the island of Gozo, on the 4th June 1994, honorary visitors have the opportunity to plant a tree. On the 4th November 1995, His Lordship Monsignor Nicholas Cauchi, Bishop of Gozo, also planted another tree in commemoration of his visit to Marian Centre. All the trees and shrubs planted are Australian natives.

Some of the amenities provided by Marian Centre include car parks, public toilets, and a small rectory to accommodate the visiting priest.
