LITURGICAL MINISTRIES

Ministers of Eucharist:

Lay people of the parish are selected by the pastor and appointed by the Bishop to distribute the Holy Bread and Sacred Cup to attending worshippers.  Ministers may also bring communion to shut-ins or homebound parishioners.  Parishioners who are 18 years of age, confirmed, in good standing with the Church and are interested in this ministry may speak with the parish priest at their convenience.

Lectors:

All parishioners who are confirmed and interested in being lectors at the weekend Liturgies are invited to contact the parish priest. Some training is provided.

Altar Servers:

Persons (male or female), third grade or older are welcome to serve at the altar.  Please contact the pastor to arrange for training and robe assignment.

Music Ministry:

If you like to sing or play an instrument, consider joining the Folk Group.  Reading music is not a requisite.  The Folk Group sing at the 10:30 AM Mass on Sundays.   Generally, rehearsals are  Thursdays at 7:00 PM in the chapel (side entrance).  We also have a seasonal Adult Choir for Christmas and Easter.  Call the parish (352-1311)  for joining or more info.

Liturgy of the Word for Children:

This ministry seeks to bring the Sunday Scriptures at Mass to children with the use of a children's lectionary and trained catechists to help children understand and celebrate the Word of God.

Decorations Committee:

If you would like to help with church decorations, especially for the Liturgical seasons of Advent/Christmas, and, Lent/Easter, please call the rectory.
