ACMU 2
CCA - FABC jointly organised the second ACMU (Asian Movement for Christian Unity). The theme was "Ecumenical Formation as Churches of Asia Move Towards the New Millennium" and was also held at Rumah Khalwat, Tegaljaya, Bali-Indonesia, from January 10-14, 1998.
47 participants from CCA FABC were present.
The topics covered were:
2. The Church in Asia in the 21st century by Dr Carino, CCA General Secretary
3. Christian Theological Concerns in Asia for the 21st Century: Asian Synod jointly presented by Archbishop Armando Trindade, Pakistan and Bishop Kenneth Fernando, Anglican Bishop of Colombo.
4. "Wider Ecumenism." Ecumenical Concerns in Interreligious Dialogue jointly by Rev Hermen Shastri and Fr J. B. Banawiratma
5. Women in Theology and Ecumenism jointly by Sr Pauline and Dr Hisako Kinukawa, Japan
6. Christian Theological Concerns in Asia for 21st Century: CATS
The final day of the AMCU was devoted entirely to the question of ecumenical courses to be given at the local and national levels.
