He was first appointed as acting rector and in 1976 was appointed
rector. He left in 1977 to be Bishop of Penang and later became
Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur.
He was the professor of Special Moral in College until he was appointed
as rector in 1978. He served for two terms as rector before leaving
the parish priest of the Church of Nativity, Butterworth.
In 1995, he was appointed Auxillary Bishop of Kuala Lumpur.
He was the first local priest to serve the College for three terms.
