CSSUKM is considered a representation of the Catholic Students in UKM and is recognised by the University. It is therefore known as a 'perwakilan' and lies under the jurisdiction of the University's Student Council (Persatuan Mahasiswa Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia - PMUKM). All religious representations have to operate under the patronage of the Student Council

  
   
    Did you know? : We were declared 'underground during the early 80's by the University until the 1996/97 session where the excos of CSS at that time through necessary legal procedures manage to rejuvenate and declare CSSUKM active in the month of January   Prayer is powerful thing you know! :-)

The following is CSSUKM's mission statement which was conceived in 1995

   
    We the Catholic Student Society of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (CSSUKM) endeavours to foster integration of faith and knowledge that will produce discerning Christ-centered leaders who will respond to the changelles of an individualistic and materialistic society and bring about a civilization of love and promote the culture of life for the betterment of humankind.
