The Lexington Ultreya Team is dedicated to continuing the work of the teams beyond the weekend and into the 4th Day - building and maintaining a community of love, support and commitment through prayer, palanca and personal contact. Our sole focus is to be the encouragement and support that will more fully enable our Cursillo community to spread the Gospel in all our environments. Objectives 1.
To continue with prayer and palanca for the collective success of
the entire community’s 4th day 2.
To personally welcome all babe-chicks and dudes back from their
weekend so they can be assured of the support of the loving community to
which they now belong 3.
To work with the new Cursillistas, through their sponsors, to
assure they have the love, support and tools needed to get their 4th
day started through group reunion, Ultreya and spiritual direction 4.
To reach out and support all known small groups and assist them
in staying vibrant and connected with the larger community through Ultreya 5.
To assist any Cursillista seeking the experience of a small group
reunion by: a.
helping new groups to form b.
identifying
existing groups who are
willing to open their group reunion to new people 6.
To create an environment at Ultreya so that all will feel welcome
and accepted as a part of our Christian community, loved as a brother or
sister in Christ, enlightened and encouraged as we all continue on our 4th
day 7.
To assist in the continued formation of the community in regard
to the method and strategy of Cursillo in order to build and maintain a
sense of shared mission of evangelization 8.
To maintain a visible presence of Cursillo in all Lexington area
Catholic parishes 9.
To encourage active participation in Cursillo events involving
the larger community 10. To be a resource to the larger community identifying and preparing candidates for future weekends
