"Our Lady of the Mines"

The picture above was sketched by Sister Kay Francis Berger O.S.F. The "Miners Madonna" is invoked for the protection and safety for those in the mining community. We were given a copy of this sketch by the people of the Hazard Ultreya group.

As a member of the group that journeyed to Hazard on April 3rd, I want to say we were met by a very lovely and sharing community of people and began our visit with Mass in a beautiful mountain church, Mother of Good Council,

Mother of Good Council Catholic Church Hazard Ky.

We all had a wonderful Ultreya meeting, and fellowship. The Women above were filled with the Spirit of Cursillo and the love of Christ.

Thanks Clara, Maria and Maria for a wonderful visit, and the great cookies too.
