MESSAGE FROM THE GRAND KNIGHT:

Brother Knights,

Thank you for the honor of being elected by you as the Grand Knight for the year that begins on 01 July 2008. Though I am aware of at least some of my limitations, I am encouraged by St. Paul's words in Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Him Who strengthens me."

During the next year, we want to be ready to serve our parish of Christ the King in any way we can, as we are requested.

COUNCIL NEWS:

MONTHLY POTLUCK:

As most of you know, our council sponsors a potluck dinner. The dinner occurs after the 5:30pm Mass and before the 7:30pm prayer meeting. It is a great way to serve the church, meet fellow parishioners, and have fellowship with other knights. We need more knights to help with set-up (5:00pm), serving, and clean-up. Please lend a hand if you are able. The Potluck is the second Friday of each month. Our next potluck is August 8^th.

Adoration Hour:

We are in need of more help with our scheduled hour of Adoration. If you can spare a few hours and are available at 1:00am Saturday mornings, please consider spending it in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Please contact Jeff DeLamielleure (delajd@sbcglobal.net) if you can pick-up a regularly scheduled hour or if you can fill in for others.

NEW COUNCIL Members:

The Knights of Columbus is becoming the “strong right arm” of the Catholic Church in regard to parish life, Diocesan programs, Vocations, and the sanctity of life. Please consider inviting someone to get involved with our council. Next First Degree is August 11^th at St. Francis.
