7th Grade: Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life

Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life is a Catholic religion curriculum for students in the seventh grade.  This program is centered on a new approach found in the teachings of the Second Vatican Council and Pope John Paul II.  Based solidly on Sacred Scripture, the approach stresses the dignity of each individual as a person made in the image and likeness of God.  Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life has as its emphasis four key truths of the Catholic Faith: God, creation, Christ and commandments.  These key truths form the unifying elements of the lessons.  The material in each lesson draws upon fundamentals of our Faith and expresses them in terms the children can understand and remember” (Teacher’s Manual).

8th Grade: Catholic Teen Survival Guide

The Catholic Teen Survival Guide is written for Junior and Senior High School students in a manner that they are familiar with.  This Catholic religion curriculum covers the intellectual fundamentals of the Catholic Faith in preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation.  “The Catholic Teen Survival Guide had one goal: to help you pattern your daily life around God – from the minute your alarm clock jolts you out of bed, until your family, school, friends, works, sports, hobbies, and meanderings have led you – drained – to your beloved bed to sleep once more” (introduction)

8th Grade: 35 Day Spiritual Workout

The 35 Day Spiritual Workout is written for Junior and Senior High School students in a manner that they are familiar with.  This Catholic religion curriculum covers the spiritual fundamentals of the Catholic Faith in preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation “Our souls, like our bodies, need exercise and nutrition to grow strong.  The 15 minute daily spiritual workout in this book is guaranteed to pump up your soul and bring you closer to God” (introduction).  The two text approach for the eighth grade is to insure that the candidates for Confirmation are adequately prepared not only in their heads, but also in their hearts.
