Lay Carmelites of Hamburg

Who We Are:

We, the members of the Secular Order of Our Lady of Mt Carmel and Saint Teresa, together with the Friars and the Nuns, are sons and daughters of the Order. We live the same charisms, each in our particular state of life. We share the same spiritual goods, the same vocation to holiness and the same apostolic mission. We enrich the Order with the particular characteristics of our secular life.

We are faithful members of the Roman Catholic Church, called to live our "allegiance to Jesus Christ" as "a friendship with Him whom we know loves us" in the service of the Church and under the protection of Our Lady of Mt Carmel, the inspiration of St. Teresa of Jesus and St. John of the Cross and the biblical tradition of the prophet Elijah.

We come together every second Friday of the Month at:
Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church
9565 Musch Rd
Brighton, MI. 48116
for Eucharistic Adoration,Confessions, Holy Mass and Prayer Formation, with a talk by our Spiritual Director, Fr. Don Brick, OCD.

Our particular Community is called "Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Spouse of the Holy Spirit".  Fr. Don Brick, OCD travels to Michigan one weekend a month from Holy Hill Shrine of Mary in Hubertus, Wisconsin to bring us the Sacraments and his teachings on Our Founding Saints, St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross. We are the "prayer warriors" among you, welcoming all prayer requests and spiritual needs at our website,
