“By the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed.” (CCC 1285)

Confirmation, also familiar to us as one of the three sacraments of initiation, strengthens and prepares us to carry out the mission of Christ on earth. The Diocese of LaCrosse encourages any person between the ages of 13-15 to enter a time of preparation to receive this sacrament. Any student who shows openness to the gifts and responsibilities of Confirmation and meets the diocesan requirements is invited to take part in a 9-month journey towards the sacrament of Confirmation.    January 6th at St. Joseph Parish 6:30pm in Ehr Hall
   January 9th at St. Bartholomew Parish 9:00am in the church basement
   January 13th at St. Stephen Parish at 6:30pm in the church undercroft

Families interested in the sacrament of Confirmation in the spring of 2011 must attend ONE of the meetings listed above. Registration for 2011 necessitates attendance at the meeting and a family interview – completed by March 2011. Please contact the youth minister with any questions.
