Youth Group News
Summer 2009
To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today by drawing them into responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith family, and to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
Pumpkin Planting
Members of the youth group recently planted pumpkins out at Joe Malek’s farm. Joe kindly donated the land, fertilizer, and irrigation, while Father John provided pumpkin seeds! The teens plan to weed and harvest the pumpkins over the summer and will sell them at the Nekoosa Giant Pumpkinfest as a fundraiser.
Round Hill Youth Rally
On April 26th, a group of about 10 teens went to the Round Hill Youth Rally in Durand, WI. The featured speaker was Bob Rice, a nationally renowned speaker and musician.
June 17th -22nd was a memorable week for 12 teens from our
parish. We loaded the
busses at St. Bronislava in Plover after a beautiful send-off mass
and a delicious breakfast provided by members of their parish.
Stops along the way included Marytown, Notre Dame,
“It was a change of heart, really experiencing God for the first time.”
“Going to adoration was the best!”
“I am closer to God than I have ever been.”
“We learned that the true beauty in a girl comes from the inside.”
“It was truly amazing, I’m so glad I went.”

How Can You Help?
* Pray for our teens (They need your prayers, being a teenager is tough and keeping them close to God is tougher!)
*Donate money, food or beverages for any of these events. (This helps keep out of pocket costs down so teens can participate.)
*Chaperone our trips (chaperones get as much out of these trips as the teens do.)
