Young Sisters gather

SIBU - More than 200 young Sisters had their annual gathering from 30 April-5 May at the Sibu Diocesan Pastoral Centre.

The aim of this gathering was to bring an awareness of being “Prophets and Missionaries in the new millenium”. Three facilitators were invited to give talks: Fr Stephen Lim’s talk on the first day stressed on self-discovery - unless one is able to love and embrace oneself, one cannot be effective prophets and missionaries to the Church and the world around.

Fr Romeo’s talk on the second day touched on the identity and image of caring for oneself as religious in the modern world today.

On the third day Sr Adriana Tiong spoke on the charism and history of the SSFS, and the intentions of the early founders.

The gathering ended with Franciscan joy with the Rector of the Centre, Fr Paul Chee.
