From the month of May till October, St Jude’s Parish is holding a series of one-day seminars on the Pope’s Letter Rosarium Virginis Mariae in every zone. The purpose is to try to reach out to as many parishioners in the various outstations.
Divided into two teams, one under Fr Peter Julias and the other under Fr John Chong, the seminar has so far been conducted in Kpg Pangalan Amo (for Kpgs Gahat, Tesu, Kujang Sain, Kujang Plaman and Kujang Mawang); in Kpg Payau Achau (for Kpgs Bidak Mawang, Bidak Plaman, Payau Mawang, Payau Sg Brus and Payau Achau) on 18 May. On 22 June, Fr Julias’ team went to Kpg Temong Mawang (for Kpgs Tepoi, Temong Mura and Temong Mawang) and Fr John’s team went to Kpg Mujat (for Kpgs Mujat and
Mongkos).
The seminar consists of three talks based on the Pope’s letter, starting or ending with a Holy Mass, and in the evening, a Rosary procession around the
kampung.
The seminar was conducted on 19 July in Kpg Daha Kisau (for Kpgs Daha Mawang, Seroban and Daha Kisau) and on 26 July, in Kpg Sijijak Plaman. From August to October, the two teams will cover the remaining zone.
The Rosary Year will end with the Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to Sri Aman on 7 October, the Feast Day of Our Lady of the Rosary. Catholics from the various kampungs and church groups were encouraged to make their own pilgrimage to Sri Aman during the Rosary Year.
