Prayer is but the placing of our hand  Into the Hand of God.  We reach out to those we love and touch them -  So it is with God.  As we reach out in love we feel His love pouring back.  Our needs blessed by His love.  An angel head bowed in prayer -  So the saints are transformed by prayer -  Their hands offered unto God  Are but a symbol of their whole lives  Lives consecrated unto serving Him -  In kitchens, Factories,  Offices,  Hospitals,  Schools,  Where ever they are -  He is there.  Whatever they do -  He does it.  Because in prayer  Their hands have become His hands,  Nor for a moment  But forever.  -11.8.1987- Whisperings of the Holy Spirit  Booklet produced by Members of the Third Order of the Society of St Francis in New Zealand
