Miss Martha Lachowska recently received the Saint Joseph Archdiocesan Medal of Appreciation from Archbishop Henry Mansell. This Medal honors people who work tirelessly in service of the church and who are good examples of the Catholic Christian life. The pastors are asked to nominate those who meet this criteria from their parishes. Miss Martha played the organ during Masses and devotions in St. Joseph Church, Ansonia, for the past 65 years. She dedicated her whole life to St. Joseph Parish. The medal was awarded during a ceremony at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford.
