St Mary of the Assumption parish sits on
the west shore of Lake Leelanau in the village of Lake Leelanau.

Situated on a peninsula between Lake Michigan and Suttons Bay, the parish is in a beautiful setting.

Cherry orchards, dairy farms, vinyards, lakes, streams, hills, valleys, wetlands and shorelands dot the countryside. The four seasons bring their own beauty; pink cherry blossoms in spring, green fields and forests in summer, red fruit in orchards in summer and fall and white snow in winter.
