Bay Area Young Adults is a group of Catholic men and women, generally ages 21-39, who gather for a wide range of social, spiritual, cultural, athletic, and community service activities. BAYA serves the Catholic Parishes of the Bay Area Deanery in the Southern Vicariate of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Members are single, single-again, single parents, widowed, and married. Membership is free; dues are optional ($10 annual contribution recommended).
Getting involved with BAYA is simple. While the majority of members are Catholic, being so is not a requirement. Here are some recommended ways to start participating:
- Stop by a BAYA affiliated
church and pick up a hard copy of the calendar. Calendars are usually
located near the entrance with other flyers and announcements.

- Pick an event on the calendar and just show up. Every month has a Newcomers Event, but you don't have to wait till then to come to your first event. Introduce yourself once you're there.
- Call an event sponsor or the Membership Coordinator for more details on an event and tell them that you're coming so they'll be looking for you.
