On June 15, 1996, over 700 people had all gathered together at a local park for one reason. These people had traveled from as far as Florida for a two day event. Why would so many people come to the small community of Porterville, California? St. Anne's School is the reason. St. Anne's, which began operation in 1926, had its first ever class reunion. Never before had a reunion been held for so many. Someone was in attendance who represented nearly each and every graduating class. Families where in attendance who had sent seven kids to school, other families were sending their third generation to St. Anne's. Indeed it was a site to behold.
