ST. BERNARD CHURCH RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

St. Bernard Church offers Religious Education classes to all children of the parish. As Catholic parents, you have the responsibility and privilege of evangelizing your children. And we, your parish, have a special role in helping you raise your children as strong, well-formed Catholic young people. We count on your child’s faithful attendance every year from Grades 1 through 12.
Our Religious Education program is active in the life of our parish and community. R.E. students coordinate food drives for the neighborhood food pantry, collect needed items for local shelters, serve as Altar Servers, Ushers, and Lectors for the Parish, participate in Masses and special liturgical events.
Before a student can receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, or Confirmation, they must be enrolled in Religious Education classes for two years prior or have attended a Catholic school the year before.
RE Classes for 2012-2013 will again be held at the School on Sundays during the school year from 9:30-10:30 a.m. beginning August 26, 2012. Students and their parents may come to Zahn Hall for the beginning of the first class of the year.
You may pick up registration forms at the Chruch on the weekends of August 11/12 and August 18/19. You may also download a registration form here, or by calling the St. Bernard's office at (260) 563-4750.
