Worship Commission

The primary functions of the Worship Commission are to:

1. Represent the community regarding the worship life of the Parish.

2. Serve as a forum for communication among all parish liturgical ministries. A representative from each of these ministries makes up the Worship Commission: Eucharistic ministers, music, lectors, ushers, sacristans, greeters, parish environment.

3. Work with the pastor and archdiocese in implementing congregational worship for the liturgical year, and encourage awareness, appreciation, and participation in the liturgies.

Volunteers are needed in the Worship Ministries. No experience is necessary, as training will be provided. These ministries include:

  • Altar Servers
  • Choir Members
  • Church Decorating
  • Crossbearer at weekend Masses
  • Eucharistic Minister
  • Facilitator for Children's Liturgy of the Word
  • Intercessory Prayer Chain Member
  • Greeter at Mass
  • Lector
  • Person to sew Altar Cloths
  • Person to construct Welcome Banner for Vestibule 
  • Person to water seasonal flowers at Christmas and Easter
  • Sacristan
  • Usher
  • Wedding Hostess and Baptism Hostess
