How does EFT Work?

 

This secure program works directly with your bank, in the same way as other electronic funds transfer systems you may already conduct (such as utility bills and mortgage payments). All transactions are done electronically, debiting your bank account or credit card automatically for the amount to which you have agreed in writing. It is a hassle-free, simple solution for today’s busy families. There will be a minimum of $15.00 weekly required to offset transaction costs.

 

Can any additional funds be taken from my account other than what I have authorized?

 

No! The St. Elizabeth Ann Seton EFT program is strictly regulated, and only you can designate the amount of money that may be debited on a monthly basis. We will not disclose any non-public personal information except as required by law. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to safeguard your information.

 

When do the transactions take place?

 

Monthly your account will be debited for the total contributions you have authorized. Your church will receive your contributions within a few days. Your monthly bank or credit card statement will be your reciept.

 

How can I be sure that my gift is going to my Church?

 

Your gift will be clearly itemized on your bank or credit card statement with the name of your church. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton will receive monthly statements indicating your support level. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton will provide you with an annual contribution statement for tax purposes. Your contributions to your Church are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

 

Can I stop, increase or decrease my payment at anytime?

 

Yes, by calling the parish office. Your request will be processed within one week.

 

How does my Church benefit from my participation in EFT?

 

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish will see a substantial increase in net revenue, a decrease in administrative costs, and a clearer picture of cash flow for our Church’s needs.

 

How do I sign up?

 

By completing the Enrollment Form, and returning it to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. Please also include a voided check for bank EFT. For credit card EFT complete the credit card information and bring your credit card to the parish so that an imprint may be made for security purposes.

 

What about Special Items Envelopes?

 

By completing the Enrollment Form, you designate those monthly items as well, like maintenance, flowers, Saint Days and debt reduction.

 

What about Other cards?

 

The program is not set up to take refund type cards like Discover.  It is not accepting bank debit cards either. For additional questions please call the office and ask for the bookkeeper.

 

When does the program start?

 

The process will begin at the first of next month after you enroll.
