YOUTH MINISTRY AND CONFIRMATION NEWS
It is said that every ministry belongs to each of us and I have to say that in youth ministry we have been very blessed with many adults making the youth their particular ministry.

As another school year is winding down I feel it is so important to thank some very special people who constantly give of their time and their faith to the teens of our parish.

Last weekend Steve Barcewicz, Craig Hubbard and Pam Jax spent a gorgeous Sunday with 13 youths at Crossroads for youth detention center playing softball and basketball with the teen boys who are rehabilitating there.

Also last weekend Sandy Rigsby, Marianne Gdowski and Dave Taras spent the entire day on retreat with 55 of our Confirmation youth @ Subiaco Retreat House.

Throughout this school year Kara Waltz, Shannon Higgins, Anne Dzuiba, Skip Lucid, Janet Boyk, Helen Ravid, Kathleen Gorski, Marianne Gdowski, Sandy Rigsby, Dave Taras (and Larissa Taras), Louella Veasey, and Denise Arseth have been catechists for the Confirmation program.

In the high school youth program Julie Bednark, Paul Schmidt, Mary Ingweiller, John May, Lisa Blanek, Tom Maier, Tina & Curt Meador, Craig & Sally Hubbard, Kimberly Redner, Sue Thomas, Kevin Atkinson, Steve & Shauna Barcewicz have interacted in a positive and spiritually fulfilling way with our youth.

Many parents and parishioners have donated food, furniture, money, (bottles) prayer and so much more. Father McEnhill has been a wonderful supportive pastor of our youth. He truly enjoys hearing our fun stories and being a part of what is going on with the youth. He prays for us, blesses us when we go on trips and takes a genuine interest in each one of their spiritual growth. We are blessed to have such a wonderful leader of the flock.

The youth ministry program is thriving at Our Lady of Refuge because of beautiful adults who care very much about the future of our church and the realization that we are all God's children and that each of us can make a beautiful difference in the life of a child.

Thank you all for sharing your time talent and treasure!

God Bless–Suzanne
