Echoes of Faith Plus Sessions for Catechist Certification
The sessions will be held for catechist certification using
the Echoes of Faith delivery system. In this self-directed approach,
each participant will be required to complete a home study of the
appropriate Echoes of Faith Plus workbook before each session.

Gospel of John Scripture Studies
Please come join us for the Gospel of John Catholic
Scripture Studies class! Invite your friends and
neighbors to come either Tuesday mornings
or Thursday evenings or bounce between the
two as your schedule permits.
Our Tuesday classes will begin on September 22, 9-10:30am. (Come after the 8am Mass or after the Rosary. We will have coffee and snack.) The Thursday class begins on September 24, 7-8:30pm.
We will meet like last year in the Father Murphy Meeting rooms of the Mitchell Family Life Center.
Our last formal class will be Tuesday, May 18th or Thursday, May 20th. Like Acts, there are 28 lessons. We will skip several weeks for holidays.

2009/2010 OLR Education Commission Objectives
1. Sponsor the following adult education
opportunities with emphasis on this year's theme:
The Year of the Priest:
a. The 30-week Catholic Scripture Series on the Book of John; Tuesday mornings 8:45 -10: 15 AM (after 8:00 Mass) from Sept through May.
b. Soup and Stations every Friday of Lent (with the Worship Commission)
c. A lecture/video series on May 12, 19 and 26 (topic TBO, related to the priesthood or vocations)
d. With the Worship Commission institute a traveling chalice program to encourage families to pray for vocations (subject to Fr. McEnhill approval)
2. Update and maintain the OLR Parish library.
3. Have all Education Commission Activities remain budget neutral.
4. Increase the membership of the Education Commission.
