Grand Knight’s Column – March 2005:

Annual Tootsie Roll Drive – March 18-20

Sunday Family Dinner – March 6

Vivat Jesus!

Am I ever glad that last month is behind us. Every event was a truly great success. Our Super Bowl was sold out almost two weeks in advance. At our Vegas Night, we had over 300 attendees and at the family dinner we served 192 people. I want to thank all of the volunteers who worked so hard to make these events a success. You all know who you are and if I tried to name each of you I would surely miss someone and I would not want to do that. I will, however, name the chairpersons:

   Super Bowl – Bob Olejniczak

Vegas Party – Tom DeOliveira and DGK John Sens

Family Dinner – Rob and Dave Bloomingburg

One of our most important charitable fund-raisers of the year is the annual Tootsie Roll Drive. We always seem to need more people to man the various stations. Even if you can only spare a couple of hours, it will be greatly appreciated. Let’s try to make this a record year for monies collected. Remember all the money collected goes to programs right here in Macomb County.

In conclusion, it gives me great pleasure to announce our Knight of the Month is PGK Jim Leo. In addition to having served as Grand Knight, Jim and his wife also co-chaired our 50s/60s Dance in the past. Congratulations Jim and enjoy your month of honor.

Let me remind you to pray for our sick and deceased members and our many service personnel who are not able to be home with their families.

Fraternally yours,

Earl Bloomingburg – Grand Knight

Deputy Grand Knight’s Column – March 2004:

Brother Knights and Families:

I would like to personally thank Bro. Tom DeOliveira for being the chairman of our Vegas Nights. The two Vegas Nights that we have each year are our biggest fund-raisers. Tom organizes this event, gets the people to work and takes care of every little detail that is needed to make sure things run smoothly. Thank you Tom and thank you to all the volunteers who help make Fr. Kramer a great council.

Fraternally yours,

John Sens – Deputy Grand Knight
