Hello, my name is Patricia Danks. I joined the Staff at St. Thomas a'Becket in 2001.   In my position as Family Life Counselor I develop and facilitate marriage & family enrichment experiences, assist in marriage preparation, and I am available for private consultation - to individuals, couples and families. You can reach me by contacting the parish office.As a mom who volunteered at our parish while attending school, my work in diocesan youth ministry led to a master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from UNLV in Las Vegas, Nevada.   I took my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, California. I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, with 20 years experience. Since coming to Michigan in 1999, I have completed the Dominican Spiritual Direction Training Program, which supports an integration of my Catholic faith with my work as a therapist. I am also an Associate of the IHM Sisters.  My areas of expertise include directing spiritual retreats and facilitating workshops on marriage and family issues, spiritual development and dream interpretation.
