System of Education
carm.jpg (7523 bytes) For Carmen Sallés the mission to educate was the reason of her existence.

Since her early beginnings she showed her extraordinary gifts of nature and grace, which later developed into the world wide activity.

T
he charism given to M. Carmen and transmitted to the Sisters for over a hundred years is eminently Marian. For her and for us, Sisters, the person of Mary in the mystery of her Immaculate Conception is the key of both, the spirituality and the mission specific to the Congregation. Being Mary the model and inspiration of our lives, we strive to bring our contemplation of the Immaculate Mother of God to our daily task of education of youth. Just as Mary was redeemed at her conception in view of the merits of her Son, so education in our centers intends to be a means of preservation of sin in order that youths may learn how to be creative Christians citizens in our society.

The undertaking of Carmen Sallés, as she set out to counteract evil by means of good, is the legacy of the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception. To take up the challenge today, we continue to work especially, but not exclusively, in the field of education in partnership with lay people, who share their Christian faith, their talents, and their concerns, to serve in the process of education of children and youth.
