Who are the Knights?
The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with 1.6 million members. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.

As a member of the Knights of Columbus you and your family enjoy many benefits, including 12 free issues annually of the Columbia magazine, the world's largest Catholic family magazine, eligibility to join the Knights of Columbus top-ranked life insurance program, and many more family and personal benefits.

Members of the St. Paul Council have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities which benefit our Parish, our youth (including Pauline Memorial Catholic School), our community and the camaraderie of the Council. Our religious activities include our sponsorship of a monthly Rosary, an annual men's week-end retreat at the Jesuit Retreat House in Sedalia, CO, Lenten devotional services and Stations of the Cross, an annual memorial Mass and dinner honoring deceased spouses and an appreciation dinner for those of the Parish in Religious vocations.

Our annual participation in the area wide Free-Throw contest and the Essay contest at the Parish school are a couple of youth activities we support. In addition we provide the physical wherewithal for such Parish and school activities as the "Tastes and Traditions of Pauline", the Parish picnic and the school carnival. We fund the Capuchin Friar Mission at Citadel Mall and conduct a Tootsie Roll drive every October to raise money for retarded children. We cook Sunday breakfast at our Parish hall monthly and every ninth week at our 4th Degree assembly Holy Family Knights of Columbus Hall in Security, CO. We provide fish fry's on Fridays during Lent and chicken fry's periodically throughout the year. We have a 1st Degree team which participates in exemplifications about once a month and our members march in the St. Patrick's day parade each year as well as in other National events. We've built a Memorial Wall and a Shrine for the Unborn. Each year we also sponsor a golf tournament in our Parish.

How To Join
Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See, who are at least 18 years old. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church. Application blanks are available from any member of the Knights of Columbus.

Walt Price is our current Membership Committee Chairman. He or our Grand Knight can be contacted regarding membership in our Council.

4th Degree Emblem
Any Third Degree member in good standing, one year after the anniversary of his First Degree, is eligible for membership in the Fourth Degree. The primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism by promoting responsible citizenship and a love of and loyalty to the Knights' respective countries through active membership in local Fourth Degree groups (called "assemblies"). Certain members of the Fourth Degree serve as honor guards at civic and religious functions, an activity that has brought worldwide recognition to the Knights of Columbus.

Fourth Degree members of Council 11634 traditionally belong to Holy Family Assembly #96. Holy Family Assembly meets in the Holy Family Knights of Columbus Hall on the third Wednesday of the month. Council 11634 is responsible for the refreshments at these meetings in November and May. Additionally, Council 11634 provides a breakfast team to the Assembly to cook breakfast at the Holy Family Knights of Columbus Hall every nine weeks. This breakfast is a fund-raiser for the Assembly. As the 4th Degree is the patriotic degree, the assembly promotes a variety of community and national events to include participation in the annual Veterans Day parade. Additionally, the Assembly provides an Honor Guard in full regalia to march at various church and state sponsored events. The Assembly has a Regalia Fund where 4th Degree members can borrow the funds to order their own set of 4th Degree regalia and pay it back with no interest on terms that are comfortable for the member. Several members of Saint Paul's Council 11634 hold offices in the Assembly.

Ladies Auxiliary
The Ladies Auxiliary's main function is to SUPPORT the men and the council. They do this primarily by providing help at events, cooking for events and providing monetary help. They also generally do help with setting up and beautifying the hall for events.

A Ladies' Auxiliary does not currently exist at our Council, however, the membership would wholeheartedly welcome such an organization in the event that a group of wives decided to form such a group.

Squires EmblemUnder the guidance of Christian Brother Barnabas McDonald (1865-1929), the first Columbian Squires circle was instituted in 1925. Membership in the Squires is for Catholic boys between the ages of 12 and 17. Squires' activities are many, varying from spiritual to active service for the Church and community. Each circle elects officer members from their own rank, teaching skills of leadership and responsibility.

A Columbian Squires circle does not currently exist at our Council, however, the membership would wholeheartedly welcome such an organization if it were formed.
