Cathedral Church of San Ambrosio

Iglesia Catedral de San Ambrosio

LINARES, CHILE

The Cathedral Church of San Ambrosio de Linares is one of the finest religious buildings of modern times, in Chile. It was conceived after the Basilic of Saint Ambrose, in Milan, a noble building in the Romanic style. It was former bishop Juan Subercaseaux who envisioned the Cathedral and made it possible its construction, after the old Cathedral church had been destroyed by an earthquake.
