Our Lady of
In honor of the 150th Anniversary of the Apparitions of
Our Blessed Mother in
Holy Hour: Tuesday evenings in the
church at 7pm – 8pm. Evening prayer, Litany, Rosary, Benediction
and songs in honor of 150th Anniversary of the Apparitions of Our
Lady of Lourdes.
We welcome Dr. Scott Hahn to Our Lady
of
First Holy Communion and Confirmation celebrations will be soon,
perhaps you need a few cards. . .I have the place for you to shop – right in
our own Narthex! Following the 5:30pm and
10am Masses the next few weekends you can find all types and very beautiful
cards for your First Holy Communicant or for those making Confirmation. All the proceeds will go to Our Lady of
Lourdes Church. So please stop by and
see Janice Steiner, who will be happy to assist you.
Stewardship: Do we ever take the initiative in giving our
time, talent and treasure, or do we always wait to be asked?

Registration
Information:
Faith Formation registration for students currently attending
Faith Formation classes will begin on April 1, 2008 for the 2008-2009 school
year. Faith Formation registration will
be open to ALL parishioners beginning May 1, 2008. Class space is limited so register
early!! Registration forms are available
in the Faith Formation building and church offices and on the information desk
in the Narthex of the church.
Reminder: May 12th :Community
Shelter for Confirmation Students.
Growing Spiritually:
The Adult Bible Study Group
will continue to meet next year 2008-2009 during the Faith Formation Classes. We use the Little Rock Scripture Study, each finding this very interesting and all learn a lot about ourselves
and how we should live through the study of God’s word. If you are interested in joining us, please
call Lisa Castellano at 704-843-2338. We
are getting ready to plan what to study
next year. We meet in the Austin House
on Sunday’s after the Mass using the same schedule as the Faith Formation
Classes. If you are interested in
starting another class at a different time, call Lisa Castellano and she can
help you get started. We invite anyone
who wants to check us out, come to our last three classes on May 4 th,
May 11 th or May 13th.
Share a cup of coffee, eat a donut, tells us your ideas or
thoughts. We will be upstairs and our
door is OPEN.
Youth Group : Calling all rising 9th Grade
through 12th Grade Youth. Donna and Jim Terenzi are planning a “Pizza
and board game night” in May in the MPR.
This is an opportunity to be with other teens and share time and share
ideas. Please call Donna or Jim at 704-218-3259 and
let them know you are interested.
Women’s Guild: The Women’s
Guild is in the process of collecting recipes for “Our Lady of
Announcement:
Cinco
de Mayo Festival: Sunday, May
11, 2008 the Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a
Festival from 10am – 8pm. Latin American Food, Volleyball Tournament, Folklore,
Pony Rides, Games, and Music. Last week to buy raffle tickets.

registraciónes para los alumnos actuales comenzaron el
día 1 de Abril. Y para todos los
parroquianos comenzaran el día 1 de Mayo. Las formas de registración están a la
entrada de la Iglesia, en la Oficina de la Parroquia y en la Oficina de la
Formación de la Fe.
El
ultimo día para registrar sus hijos es el 1 de Junio, 2008. Después de ese día hay un cargo extra de $
20.00. Después del primero de Julio, serán
$25.00. Y después del primero de Agosto $ 30.00.
