Enfant-Jésus Museum

In 2010, the Enfant-Jésus Heritage Site established a rural museum. The church building, its architecture, interior décor and residual objects is in fact an actual religious museum which also serves on occasion as a church for Eucharistic Celebrations. In addition, a small collection of artifacts, stored in the church balcony is easily displayed in the nave during the summer months.

The museum includes the artifacts from the town of Richer (Thibaultville), La Coulée and Brokenhead (Tête Ouverte).

The Enfant- Jésus has presently thirteen collections: school, military, carpentry, sawmill, dairy farm, cheese factory, Dawson Road, church, French Canadian and Métis cultures, religious artifacts, women, Father Francois Xavier Normandin, Sisters of St Joseph of Ste Hyacinthe, Father Jean Baptiste Thibault.

The purpose of the Enfant-Jésus Museum is to provide information for public in the social, political, cultural and economic history of the area. To accomplish this purpose, the museum scollects, researches, preserves, exhibits and interprets objects in accordance with the collection policy.

Our rural museum is an active member of the Association of Manitoba Museums.

If you wish to make a donation of small scale artifacts, please contact Patricia at 204-422-6880 and visit our web page.
