Journée mondiale de prière pour les vocations - le dimanche 21 avril 2013 - Le 4e dimanche de Pâques, l’Église invite les chrétiens à réfléchir sur le sens de l’appel de Dieu et à prier pour les vocations. Le Christ, le Bon Pasteur, continue de guider son peuple par l’entremise de ses évêques, ses prêtres et ses diacres, et il en appelle bien d’autres à le suivre de la même façon. Tout au long de l’année, le peuple de Dieu devrait avoir à coeur de se soucier des vocations sacerdotales, diaconales et religieuses. C’est la communauté chrétienne entière qui partage la responsabilité d’encourager les vocations. En ce dimanche, les fidèles des paroisses seront encouragés à prier, réfléchir et poser des gestes en vue de promouvoir les vocations à la prêtrise.

World Day of Prayer for Vocations – Sunday, April 21, 2013 - On the 4th Sunday of Easter, Christians are invited to reflect on the meaning of God’s call and to pray for vocations. Christ the Good Shepherd continues to lead his people though his bishops, priests, and deacons, and calls many to follow him in this way.

Priestly, diaconal, and religious vocations should be a constant concern in the hearts of God’s people throughout the year. The whole Christian community shares the responsibility for fostering vocations. This particular Sunday, parishioners are encouraged to prayer, reflection and action in regards to promoting vocations to the priesthood.

Fourth Sunday of Easter - The liturgies of the last two Sundays have led us to reflect upon the apostles’ coming to faith on the Risen Lord. As they shared this faith with the first generation of Christians, the image of Jesus as ‘shepherd and guardian’ of God’s people (1 Peter 2:25) established itself in Christian consciousness. One of the Church’s first representations of the Saviour portrayed him as a youthful shepherd with a sheep on his shoulders - no doubt indicating that when they heard the parable of the lost sheep, the first Christians instinctively identified the shepherd of the parable with the Risen Lord. Dans le cadre de l’année de la foi, cette conférence aura lieu du 10 au 12 mai au Centre communautaire St-Norbert. Les conférenciers seront Son Excellence Monseigneur Albert LeGatt, archevêque de Saint-Boniface, le père Graham Keep de London, Ontario et les évangélistes mondiaux Lloyd et Nancy Greenshaw de Renewal Ministries. Il y aura des présentations engageantes, de la musique entraînante, des célébrations eucharistiques et un service de guérison. Une piste à part est préparée pour les adolescents.

Catholic School of Evangelization (CSE) 2013 Summer Camp dates and registration forms are here!

These Summer Camps offered by the CSE are an opportunity for youth to come have fun while learning about their faith. The CSE offers five day camps for the 8 to 17 year olds and day camps for 5 to 7 year olds. The camps include activities such as swimming, sports, games, crafts, tenting, chapel times and of faith sharing.
