Boards, Councils & Organizations

Pastoral Council - Advises the Pastor on the spiritual and temporal needs and concerns of the parish. Board meets on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM in the conference room of Engle Hall.

Finance Council - Aids the Pastor in the administration of all parish goods and assets. Finance Board meets six times per year.

Christ the King School Board - The main role of the School Board is to set long range goals and policies that will enhance the quality of academic achievement as well as spiritual and moral growth. The Board meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the conference room of Engle Hall.

MSJ School Board - Our Pastor and three lay people from the parish serve on the School Board of Mount St. Joseph, the regional Catholic High School. The MSJ School Board meets on the second Monday of the month at 6:00 PM.

Sodality - The Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary is an organization of women in the parish who have joined together for the deepening of their own spiritual life and to serve the needs of others.

Family Life Committee - The Christ the King Family Life Committee is designed to promote Christian values that will strengthen family life and respect for all life from conception to natural death.

Parent-Teacher Club - A necessary and vital link for effective Catholic education at Christ the King parish. The PTC's goal is to promote communication and cooperation between the home and the school in a variety of ways, including volunteer coordination, host services and fund raising efforts to assist in maintaining tuition as low as possible.

Athletic Association - The Athletic Association of Christ the King School is composed of parents who initiate and direct the sports programs. They are also responsible for raising the money to fund these programs. Meetings are ususally held on the last Wednesday of the month in the central office conference room.

Scout Committee - Scouting and religion are integral in developing the spirituality and values of our youth. Both boys and girls learn lessons in scouting that will guide them for the rest of their lives. We are fortunate to have generous parents to serve as leaders in the Scouts.
