MEETINGS & EVENTS

MONTHLY MEETINGS:  We ordinarily meet every second Sunday of the month from 3 to 6 p.m. at a church in McAllen in even numbered months, and a church in Harlingen in odd numbered months.  We shift to a different Sunday when a holiday, such as Easter or Mother's Day, falls on the second Sunday.   We sometimes get together for mass and/or dinner on special occasions.

     3:05     Spiritual Conferences (whole community discusses important Carmelite works)
     3:30     Business Meeting
     4:00     Formation Classes
     4:45     Community Time & Refreshments
     5:15     Formation Classes continue
     5:40     Evening Prayer, Salve Regina
     6:00     Adjournment

RETREATS:  We have a retreat over a weekend once a year, starting Friday evening and going through Sunday lunch.  Our past retreats have been led by OCD priests and renowned OCDS retreat leaders.  The talks and spiritual direction have been great spiritual blessings to each of us individually and to our group as a whole.  Our usual retreat house is a beautiful monastery in the wilderness near Rio Grande City.
