RATIONALISATION OF MASSES

Bishop Thomas is proposing a rationalisation of the Mass times throughout the deaneries of the diocese.  After discussion at the rrecent Parish Council meeting, the following amended Mass times were suggested for our parish:Our Lady of Fatima Church – Saturday 5.30 pm & Sunday at 11.00 am.

            St. Thomas More Church –Sunday 9.00 am

Please let Fr. Bodgan know your thoughts and feelings on this proposal.

R.C.I.A.

The new course continues on Tuesday at 7.30 pm in Our Lady of Fatima Hall for those who wish to know more about the Catholic faith.  For further details, please contact Fr. Bogdan.

INVITATION TO NEW ALTAR SERVERS

Fr. Slawek invites any young person who wishes to become an Altar Server to a meeting with him at the Presbytery on Thursday after school. Those interested must have already received their First Communion.

RE-WIRING OF ST. THOMAS MORE CHURCH

Please note there will be no Weekday Masses at St. Thomas More Church between Monday 16th – Friday 20th November as the church is being re-wired.

Envelopes are available in the Church Porch for special donations, e.g. building fund (or if you forget your normal envelope!) Please enter your G.A. Parish number, or if you are a taxpayer and have not got a G.A. number, enter your name etc. on the envelope.

FESTIVAL OF CULTURE

Once again Our Lady of Fatima Church will host one of the concerts of the `Seven Cultures` Festival.

The instrumental concert `At the Crossroads of Cultures’ is a musical journey through Europe and people and nations living there.  . A whole variety of musical styles will be heard from the stage: Slavonic, Russian, Ukrainian as well as Balkan, Gipsy and Jewish, not to mention English and Irish.

Date; 13th November at 7.30 pm – free entry; collection will be taken after the concert.

PILGRIMAGE TO POLAND – IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF POPE JOHN PAUL II- 26 MAY – 2 JUNE OR 25 MAY – 1 JUNE 2010 (Date to be confirmed). Cost £660.00 per person on 2 sharing, (single room supplement £85) includes:  flights, transport costs, entrance fees, full-board accommodation. Additional cost for travel insurance £15.00.  For further details, please contact Fr Bogdan. Limited places available. A deposit of £150.00 will be required by Sunday 22nd November.

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR – 28th Nov. - OLF Hall 12 noon – 3 pm.  

Can you help with the Bazaar?  Either beforehand in preparation, or on the day – perhaps running a stall? Clearing up afterwards? If so, contact Victoria on 629852 or see her after the 11.00 am Mass on Sundays.  Victoria would also be interested to hear from people with craft talents. Start donating suitable items now – PLEASE NO JUMBLE – and bring to the Presbytery. Raffle Tickets available after all weekend Masses.

SENIOR PARISHIONERS CHRISTMAS DINNER – 6TH DECEMBER
