Finance Council: St. Mary of the Angels prides itself on transparency in all its financial dealings. The Parish Finance Council works with the pastor to develop a budget for the coming year, plan fund raising, and help parishioners understand the needs of the parish.  St. Mary’s has had generous supporters through the years, both parishioners and friends, and with this assistance, despite being a small and relatively poor parish, has not needed any support from the Archdiocese for more than 20 years.

Pastoral Council: St. Mary of the Angels has vibrant lay leadership supporting all areas of parish life.  This work is coordinated through the Parish Pastoral Council, comprised of 13 members, 7 selected at-large, and one from each of the parish’s 6 working groups or Clusters (Liturgy, Spirituality, Neighborhood, Youth, Celebrations and Finance). The council’s primary role is to advise and counsel the pastor regarding issues related to running the parish on a day-to-day basis.

A highlight of the Parish Pastoral Council leadership is the recent development and adoption of a Parish-wide Strategic plan, which involved 2 days of participation by more than 80 members of the parish.  The Strategic Plan is designed to help guide the long-range future of our parish. This work is ongoing. To view St. Marys vision and goals for the future...(read more)
