The Light Is On For You - Wednesday evening Confessions across the Archdiocese this Lent

On Wednesday, February 24, 2010, from 6:30-8:00 pm - and on all Wednesdays in Lent - we will be offering confessions here at St. John's, together with all the parishes and chapels in the Archdiocese of Boston. This outreach is called "The Light is on for You," and is an effort on the part of our Archdiocese to highlight the importance of the Sacrament of Confession in the life of Catholics and to make it as easy as possible for every Catholic to come or to return to this great source of God's mercy and healing love. You are welcome to come here or to go to any other Catholic parish or chapel.

The Archdiocese has set up a website "The Light is on for You" with lots of great material and videos to help you prepare. Please make plans to come yourself and please invite others take advantage of this great opportunity to be reconciled and begin anew your journey in faith this Lent.

Can you carry a tune in a bucket? If you can, please consider joining our concert choir for a Pentecost Sunday program of sacred music! Last year's program was exceptional! We're already planning for a program on Sunday, May 23,2010, at 3:00. The concert choir will be rehearsing on most Monday nights. Our next rehearsal is March 1 at 7:30 PM.

We need tenors and basses, especially, but ALL are welcome!

Please join us for what promises to be a great musical adventure! more...

Our Parish Mission Statement

We are God's people — women, men and children — created in His image and raised to a new dignity through Baptism to be a priestly people and stewards of His creation.

Conscious of this dignity, we choose to gather together at St. John's to worship our Father, through Jesus in the Spirit—especially in the liturgy—and to create a family bond among us.

Therefore, we freely commit our time, talent and treasure to enhance the spiritual and human growth of the members of this family and the wider community.

Welcome to new parishioners!

If you are new in the parish, please visit our office in the parish center and fill out a form to register with us. Those moving from the parish are asked to contact the Parish Center that we may update our records.
