![]() Middle School Youth Group Our Middle School Youth Group provides an opportunity for 7th and 8th graders to share food, fun, friendship and faith at regular meetings prior to their religious education class. A typical meeting includes pizza, a student-led opening prayer, one or two lively group games, and a musical closing prayer. We mark the seasons of the liturgical year with special celebrations of All Saints Day Eve, the Annunciation, the Nativity, Saint Valentine’s Day, Mardi Gras, the Last Supper and Passion of Christ, and the Easter Resurrection. We practice Christian service to our community by a special “service meeting”devoted to making Christmas cards for delivery to elderly and prisoners. Made in the image of God, and eager and open to the teachings and practice of their Catholic faith, our teens bring life and spirit to our parish. Thank you Saint Anne parish for supporting our youth! High School Youth Group
The primary purpose of the youth group is to help our young adults grow in
their faith in a fun and relaxing social environment. The youth group can
be an instrument for the adults of the parish to show our children how to
love, serve, and respect themselves and needy people in the community. It
teaches them a deeper meaning of what it means to be Christian- a Christian
that understands that God calls us to love and serve one another; a
Christian that realizes that the church is much more than going to worship
on Sunday morning; a Christian that knows that God loves them without
condition.
The goals of the High School Youth Group are to grow in faith, to meet new
people, to reach out and help others, to get involved in the parish, and to
have lots of fun.
Meetings are held for one hour every other week prior to Religious
Education classes. Social activities of the group include: pizza party meetings, Youth Day in Boston, Riverside Amusement Park, Frog Pond ice skating, Boston Harbor dance cruise, Christian rock concerts, spring lock in, and white water rafting trip. Service projects include Christmas decorations and caroling for elderly shut-ins, Halloween party for parish kids, Mill Pond Italian Night, walk for hunger, and other service projects. |
