Adult Enrichment

Periodically, evening programs are offered to provide adults with ongoing religious education. These programs are designed to assist adults on their journey toward God.

Days of Prayer

Several times during the year, St. Anne Parish offers a day of prayer. Parishioners are invited to take some time away from their usual activities and come to the church to share some special time with God. The day consists of a combination of spiritual talks and some quiet time for reflection and prayer.

Mission/Retreat

Once a year, usually during Lent, the parish sponsors a 3-5 day retreat. The retreats are coordinated through the Office of Spiritual Development. Guest speakers are invited to present talks on various aspects of spiritual life such as faith, prayer, reconciliation, and the Eucharist. All parish members are invited to attend the retreat. Each retreat session lasts approximately one hour.

Resource Literature

Religious literature is available on racks and a table at the chapel entrance. There is literature for adults, adolescents, and children. There is special children’s literature available at all entrances of the church. In addition, special seasonal literature is available at the entrances to the church.

Bible Study

The Bible study meets weekly in the evening at various homes, except for those weeks when there are parish activities, such as adult education programs, missions, Holy Week, etc.

A typical meeting opens with prayer, remembering the needs of the participants, as well as parishioners, relatives, and friends who may be in need of prayer. The closing prayer is an appropriate scripture reading. The leaders provide resource materials and provide structure and direction for the group.

The study has been in existence since November 1991. During this time the group has studied most of the Old Testament from Genesis through Psalms and Proverbs, many of the prophetic books and most of the New Testament, including a concentrated review of Revelation.
